World Of Darkness

A merger between Crowd Control Productions aka CCP and White Wolf, Inc. was announced at the annual Eve Online fanfest in Reykjavík, Iceland, in November 2006. As part of the deal, it was announced that White Wolf would be adapting the Eve Online intellectual property into a RPG, and CCP explicitly stated "There will be a World of Darkness Online", referring to a MMORPG version of the game.

The game will be based on Old World Of Darkness rules and will have a focus on player politics and social interaction. It is scheduled to launch in 2012.

The World of Darkness invades the IRC community on GlobalGamers.net! Vampires, werewolves, mages and even humans can meet up to discuss the classic pen and paper system as well as an upcoming online massive multiplayer game like none other.

This unofficial channel is made by fans, for fans! It's maintained by Zorky, a Malkavian, and Etrigan, a Toreador, who are Community staff members on the Global Gamers IRC network.

Was thinking of making a group for WoDo if there wasn't one, but glad there is one already =) You should update the info though as it is far from scheduled to launch this year ;)

Question/speculation: If CCP has an official WODMMO Steam Group, would this imply that the WODMMO will be released on Steam as well, like EVE Online? Seems reasonable.
