@the doctor try to airblast as soon you see the arrow and the coloured line. it should woks. Don't forget to aim the upper body.

@the docter try to sidestep the arrow then M2 it's a lot less risky but you can't aim it very well

If you are within airblast range you can knock the sniper into the air, they cannot fire while airborn so once they hit the ground they will most likely immediately fire, thats when you reflect it. at long range it helps to watch for the firing animation, then airblast. I also recommend playing a bit of huntsman sniper to beter predict when they will fire.

The Phlogistinator is very effective in trolling people on payload maps. I recommend using this!

A few suggested combos if you want to use the new gear:

Phlogistinator + Manmelter + Back Scratcher: Maximizes ranged fire output with ammo economy, encourages isolated, medic-less guerrilla warfare. Highly vulnerable to traditional soldier tactics and sticky bomb carpets.

Degreaser + Detonator + Third Degree: Quick weapon switch and minor flare jump agility allows for quick, suicidal strikes to take out the enemy medic by hammering on his heal patient. Risky tactical kamikaze loadout.

Backburner + Manmelter + Powerjack: High-power selective-crit heresy. Use the Manmelter to save your team & the pricey airblast to save yourself. Manmelter lets you attack freely, Powerjack offers heals of opportunity.

Gas Jockey's Gear + Manmelter: Hilarity will ensue. So will rage. Hang around your team to build up crits, then go out and make someone's day absolutely horrible. Team support role followed by cavalry/strike tatics.

Phlogistinator: A crit-on-demand flamer sans airblast with the requirement to charge it beforehand by inflicting fire damage. Novel, but difficult to employ (it needs to taunt to activate, so not very stealthy). Its main selling point is that it only requires you to kill the equivalent of one soldier with any sort of fire damage and that you max out your health if you happen to be injured at the time. Very much a guerrilla warfare, behind-the-lines type weapon.
Manmelter: Infinite-ammo Flare Gun that trades guaranteed flame crits for stored crits a la the Diamondback or Frontier Justice, earned by extinguishing allies with it. A serviceable sidegrade that rewards team-friendly behavior and does't ask you to blow an airblast's worth of ammo to save allies. WILL crit on pyros with stored crits, unlike the Flare Gun.
Third Degree: Troll axe of the highest order. Complete upgrade on normal axe with no downsides that punishes daisy-chaining or octopus-healing in enemy medics. Abuse freely.

The new flamethrower has no compressed air blast. I haven't tried it, but I know.
