the sims 3 messages page on the website keeps 404-ing...is anyone else having this issue?

Hey All!! I'm waiting for The Sims 3 and Showtime expansion to download. I had most of them retail before but ended up selling them when I sold my pc games to convert to keeping all my games on Steam. I'm psyched about showtime, and will be definately getting pets, generations, and ambitions asap. I'd love to add some friends so I can send my first sim out on tour and stuff...so add me please. Look forward to meeting other sim addicts.
I am having trouble with the game, it keeps crashing during the initial loading screen. I tried removing the mods, cleaning the cache, etc, but none of this is working. Any ideas?
