That's a bit odd. I'm running it on Windows 7 without a problem. When you installed it through Steam, did you make sure to proceed with all of the installers that it opened? (OpenAL, PhysX, VC runtime, Bink Video.)

When I first installed it on Windows 7 I cancelled the installers because I was busy when Steam intrusively opened them without prompting me, but it then never let me install them again. Turned out later that they are all in the root directory of the UT3 install directory. My temporary solution to the problem was disabling the intro cutscenes in one of the game's INI files.

In fact, there are currently eight people on the Internode DM server. You won't be seeing me there, since I don't like DM, though. :)

Keep in mind that the Internode servers are buggy and often fail to report that they actually contain players, so it can be helpful to check the server list in a web browser to quickly check if anyone's on their servers: http://games.on.net/gameservers.php.

Furthermore, GamingSA also offers a web-based server checking thing: http://www.gamingsa.com/?p=servers.

Oh, and we usually play on GamingSA VCTF. Some times we play on Internode VCTF, but it is nowhere near as good as GamingSA. If you're into deathmatch, the Internode DM server is probably the most common Australian one.

Hysteria, have you got the latest drivers for your video card? Did the game work previously?

if you don't mind losing all of your settings, custom content and stuff, you could try deleting the entire Unreal Tournament 3 directory from your My Documents\My Games directory.

Most of us play after dunner time, so that's usually between about 7PM and 10PM. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights are more likely to have players on than weekday nights. Also keep in mind that we're currently in the middle of most people's exam periods, so for all of us who are studying, myself included, we can't afford to sit down and relax with some good old UT3 at the moment! My exam period ends at the end of the month, so I may be on a bit more after that. Another tip is to accumulate a large in-game friends list of Australian players, so that you can quickly log in and see if anyone you know is online, and if they aren't currently in games, the two of you could kick one off and get a game happening for the rest of the night. :) Hope that helps.
