Today many of our favorite websites our blacked out, the reason for this is that congress is attempting to pass an act to stop piracy. What most people don't know about this is that it gives private media companies and the government free reign to shut down websites that have the "potential" to commit copyright infringement. If you want to keep your favorite websites from being shut down write your congressman/congresswoman to ask them to vote no on the sopa and pipa acts.
