Evaluation Result: Good Servers - Community and gameplay not for everyone.
Server IPS: 4 TF2 servers listed on community website http://www.no-heroes.com/
When you join a No Heroes server for the first time, you will see that they have put a lot of time and effort into personalizing their servers. It appears that practically every server option out there has been installed including a welcome message from Major Pain, which gets you in the mood for killing as soon as you join.
The player base has a good mix, with those players that actually want to work as a team, and of corse it also includes it share of players that blame everyone else on the team for their loss. Overall I have used their servers regularly for when my choice servers are full and want to get in a killing fix.
The one thing that gets monotonous is the repetitive sound clips for "multi-kill" or "Killing spree" and the other messages that are part of the sound clip plug in. While some game platforms this may be an actual accomplishment, but in a killfest game like TF2 this does nothing but add noise to an already noisy game where you are trying to listen to player programmed noises to better your own gameplay. If this is the only negative that I can find with a server, it must be pretty good.
The community itself prides itself in being a community for "mature" players. So those people that are younger or those that use the english language without the need for profanity, then this may not be the place for you. However if you go into playing this "Mature Rated" game with full expectations at times to hear words on your speakers and see them across your computer screen that may make a sailor blush, then there should be no surprises.
The reserved slot system looks pretty fair. For $4/month you will be granted reserved slot access to all their servers, auto balance immunity, immunity to the class limiter, immunity to high ping kicker, ability to swap teams, and other toys. This is probably the best package that I have seen so far for the TF2 platform.
