@cherokee_rose: dont worry, most races have this problem. But there are a number of solutions: 1. try jumping repeatedly to gain the extra height to grab the stuff on the shelf or 2. just use toggle collision (tcl) in the console and float yourself the extra way up. hope this helps.
I liked their starting stats and racial abilities, however I've come across an unexpected problem in playing Argonian. I'm short. I can't always see what's on the top shelves nor pick it up. Does anyone else have this problem?
I'm considering starting a new game with a different race and coming back to this one some other time. This is the first time I've played Skyrim or an Elder Scrolls game. So can anyone let me know if there are any drawbacks to playing one of the other races that might not be obvious to a new player like me?

Spent so much time leveling skills with first character, my second character is a bum that just pays for everything. Has this happened to anyone else?
@91cOffEEs LOL The talent to make mods seems to be wasted on this guy. It was funny, but if I knew how to create a mod I would aim a LOT higher.

Can some one explain to me how the double enchant perk works?
i have take the perk and i have enchanting at 100 ,but i cant put double enchant on item like robe?does it work only with some kind of item?... Pls help me i'm going crazy...
