Why were the tags suddenly censored en masse after one day? On the FAQ it says "A. Tags can be a good indicator of when there is a mismatch between how you perceive your game, and how your game is perceived by customers.", yet now I can't seem to find any negative tags whatsoever. Even if you disagreed with the joke tags that people put on games like MGR and "games" like Gone Home, the censorship still flags perfectly justifiable tags like "loli", which was used for the exact purpose of the tagging system, to browse tags based on gameplay elements. Even on things like Bioshock: Infinite and Fallout 3 with tags like "Overrated" surely that fulfills the exact purpose mentioned in the quote I included. If tags that are negative are popular, it tells the developer that there is obviously something wrong with their game. It could be argued that it doesn't matter at all since anyone can tag games they don't own, so wouldn't it be more legitimate to only enable tagging of games owned and removal of censorship? Then the steam tags would give a clear indication of what the userbase thought of a game with no doubt there since the people doing the tagging have to actually own the game beforehand.
