It may not be the most popular TV series in the world, but it's got a faithful fan base few other series have.
"Sonic the Hedgehog", also called SatAM (for Saturday Morning because it was originally aired on Saturday mornings) is a dark toned cartoon TV series with a mainly serious storyline.
Besides Sonic the Hedgehog there are Princess Sally Alicia Acorn, Bunnie Rabbot, Tails, Antoine Depardieu, Rotor, Sir Dr. Charles Hedgehog and of course the evil Dr. Julian Robotnik and his nephew Snively.

Today, 2013-09-18, is a great day. We can celebrate the 20th anniversary of Sonic SatAM's first airing!
The story begun back in 1993 when Sonic Boom was aired as first out of 26 episodes. Since then, this short and outside the US relatively unknown series, reached some kind of cult status and is definitively an important part of the history of Sonic.

Yay, I love SATAM! I know this may sound like an odd way around but it's actually what got my 5 year old self into Sonic, not the games, the games came about 5 years later for me.
