Server policy on perma-banning :: [UK] [RbZ] Robz Gaming

I’ll try to keep this short. You guys should rethink your policy of perma-banning for low karma. This doesn't work for 2 reasons:

1. If you are good with a gun (i.e. misspent youth playing CS) and you have an unlucky few rounds, karma can drop fast in certain situations - even by playing the game properly. An innocent can shoot you, so you kill them. I wish I could say that doesn’t happen often. You id the body, people think you are a traitor as they didn’t see what happened (sometimes they don’t even let you id). Another gunfight starts so you end up killing a few others (not like I won’t return fire unless it’s a detective). I was permabanned for having under 600 karma, and it didn't take long to lose that much. I explained each inno murder after the round, but no one seemed to mind or pay attention – and no rdm complaints.

2. Admins appear to be using this method to find rdmers instead of following the game events (and as I often found, instead of responding to rdm reports). Non-response from admins is of course understandable when the server is full (of kids!) and admins just want to play, but it means they are not following the round and noting when innos were attacked by other innos. This means they have no idea when karma drops for legitimate reasons.

Please reconsider this policy, it's a bit excessive. It baffles me how eager TTT admins can be to permanently ban players from their server. Surely they must realise good players are also affected time to time? I don't know how Robz is funding the server but perhaps you should see it as a small business: service, customers (good regular players), some donator revenue. You are enjoying full servers at the moment, I should know, I’ve been playing on it every night for the past week or two.. maybe something else to address is recognising regulars. But bad admin policy can slowly change that. Case in point, SourceForts, a brilliant HL2 mod and community killed off by a few brutal admins.
