I remember seeing a thread on /v/ a while back where someone got a similar message from "community admin"

Who the fuck from here was this stupid that they fell for this?

Go check their profile, it's in the member list, this guy's had different usernames, and he was this fucking stupid. (and I'm assuming that he went to /v/ since he was in this group)
