I like the idea about the annoying popup. I hate those things, but it would definitely be a good reminder to everyone. And Yurg, if by next monday you mean tomorrow (the 25th) I'm down with that. Anyone else?

Try creating an event. When the event "starts" everyone will get a big annoying popup from the group with our logo, group name, and the event name. If you include a server IP, we can copy & paste that into our server browsers in TF2.
