Phoenix Universe of Space Combat or Phoenix USC is a arena based fast action space combat MMO that will support up to 100 players per server (more possible). Players battle it out in arena free space or in a bases. Typical games are capture the flag, team on team and league or wing matches. Players select a spaceship and weapons to craft a ship to meet their needs. Battling in a rich visual environment players compete in building their scores, stats, wins and kills. If you like fast action, intense and addictive fast action online space combat then Phoenix USC is the game for you.
Hi, I have posted a new video with lots to see! It includes all of the new developments I am currently working on. I do a quick fly through of the base and surrounding arena space and show off what's been changed and added. Since my last update much has changed visually as I have added new map assets and new lighting features. I've also included a view of the map parts toolbox with collapsible components.
Some of the new features are lighted asteroids on 2 map layers. New bumped mapped floor assets. All new bumped mapped wall assets. In base lighting including spinning lights. Bumped mapped and lighted ship assets. Map parts toolbox for in game map editor.
As promised above is a video of the progress made on Phoenix USC. In this video I quickly show 6 new ships and weapons effects and then do a fly through of the map. Also included are new features like radar, new backgrounds and background effects (wormhole), new asteroids, improved parallaxing and more. My programming language Monkey 2 just got 2d normal-map style lighting and shadows so adding lighting back in is up next on the development schedule.
