I'm pretty sure that Armadeaddon is used just for chat and tying the PA servers to the group. Really no reason that couldn't have been done with this one instead.
I remember the chat room being lively right after Steam Community launched.

I'm not sure what we would use it for, really. We have individual groups for games, so this is really just kind of like a status.

It's a shame that the group never gets used for anything. I don't know how to change that, though.
