story
NEOTOKYO takes place about 30-40 years from now in a Japan that has drifted into social/political strife due to the inevitable stresses that come from changing times. The Japanese government is grappling with intensified external (Asia geopolitics) and internal (economic/social) problems, and there is mounting pressure from within Japan to return to the days when it exerted influence through military power and strength. A failed legislative push to alter the Japanese Constitution (allowing the Japanese military to engage in offensive actions outside of the country) leads to an attempted military coup by members of Japan's armed forces (GSDF). The coup fails, but was very close to succeeding. In an effort to suppress further coup attempts, Japan's Prime Minister forms a branch inside the Interior Ministry's National Security Forces (NSF) called GROUP SIX. They answer directly to the Prime Minister and are sworn to protect the Japanese Constitution at all costs. They immediately begin to hear rumours of a rogue element of the GSDF Special Forces (JINRAI) maneuvering for a second coup attempt. These JINRAI are Special Operations Group 43 (SOG43), fierce nationalist loyal to their love of country, and a desire to put Japan back into a position of strength and power.
our story
NTAU started of from the release of the game in June/July, from there the community flourished, ending up with over 600 members and regular comps which ran smoothly and efficently (except for source tv) after November the numbers dropped. The servers lay dormant for weeks, NT Tuesday was introduced, which brought the regulars back to the game. This group is its temporary replacement until a time where we can intergrate back into the main NTAU group.

We need the help of everyone who once played to try their absolute hardest to try and restore this amazing mod to its former glory, try bu brining new faces to the game, inviting people who you knew once played, organise scrims and and use the group chat to discuss possible ways to get people back into playing the game. If we stick to our guns, there is a real possibilty that NT can be revived.

Mm meaning there isn't much Aussies playing, you don't have to try and cover it up for me.. I'm only looking for the truth of whats really going on lol. Ew no Source is never good with international gaming rofl I don't wanna see em warp, ah well that's disappointing for such a interesting mod.. maybe try again next time.
Generally we have a good 5v5 going, but considering Source has good lag compensation, especially in Neotokyo, playing with Americans isn't really a problem.
How many people in the server? Only worth it with aussie players, not overseas. Wouldnt want laggy peeps.
NDC has recently started an Australian NT server and we've had some awesome games, so you welcome to come and play if you'd like! :D

I suggest a Saturday night pug on random servers until further notice. I'll be online at 21:00 AEST tonight and next Saturday and maybe for the future too.
