2Fort Server - Rank Database Clean Out
2Fort Server - Rank Database Clean Out.......
The Rank Database on the 2Fort Server had over 37 Thousand players on, many of whom had not played on the Server for quite sometime.
We had purposely set the time limit before being deleted to a quite high period to help players during the summer holiday periods who had not connected for a while so they would not lose their ranks.
It was time to clean out the dead wood altogether. Last night, i set the Server to automatically delete every player who had not connected in the last 35 days which it did excellently and pruned the whole database down to just under 7 thousand players. These players are the players who have been on the Server in the past 35 days etc.
The Server will now continue to do the same thing as in auto detect players who have not been on for 35 days and auto delete them.
We have looked through the Ranks and all of our regulars Ranks are all fine and intact.
If anyone has any problems, please let us know a.s.a.p. We do have a copy of the previous Rank Database just to be on the safe side.
