YEAH its the Juggernaut 30 Apr 2013 @ 4:19am
@Moon agreed. I never looked at valve once they forced to sign their rights away or else they wouldn't even be able to access their games offlien. They are a very unethical company. Fuck, everyone needs to make a profit what valve has done shows how ethically deficit they are.

Still haven't bought it, and never will. Now those tards are actually thinking about making a third clone. It's one thing they argued that 2 was needed because the first was missing something (everyone's money, not just new content). But a third, what did they fail hard in the second one again that they need to solicit everyone yet again for more money?

Still haven't bought it

Yup, they sold us beta. And I'm not buying awesome sequel of amazing game, beacause I'm not a whore and I respect myself. Well, actually I would rather become a prostitute, than buy this game.
Moon 1 Sep 2012 @ 10:49pm
@digit: Yes, I feel the same. I remember the excitement when I first played L4D - a really great experience. The atmosphere was just right IMO - bleak with some humor thrown in here and there by the awesome characters of the original. I remember waiting and waiting faithfully for Valve to add to the game and then lo and behold here comes a sequel! I felt that my faith was misplaced and since then I have _never_ looked at Valve the same way again unfortunately. I just hope groups like this made them realize that alot of people did not appreciate the way they handled things. Such a waste of a brilliant IP. And the whole episode 3 fiasco is another issue that chafes.

This is something that pissed me off to no end. Here is a game that had so much potential. They could have made so many additions to L4d before even thinking of releasing a second one. More maps, features, weapons, etc, etc. Then they shit on us releasing a second one. Still haven't bought it and im not even thinking of buying it.
Look at me. spread

I kind of wish there was a third Left 4 Dead game released six months or a year after the second one, just so other people could better understand my grievance with Valve. Alas, Valve probably figured they couldn't pull the same stunt twice. In all honesty, I really believe that Killing Floor is a far superior game to L4D. It's better supported, it's more fun, there isn't the same insane difficulty gap as between advanced and expert as in the original L4D, and above all: No ragequtting. If you want to see a source engine game with interesting ideas on co-op, you should try out Zombie Master. It doesn't have that big a fanbase nor does it work completely, but at least it doesn't charge you anything for its half finished ideas.
Left 4 Dead was an experiment on Valve's part. When they realized how many problems the game would be faced with in late development, they started working on fixing them, in a $60 expansion pack / patch called L4D2

Even after the sale, still no L4D2 here.
Friend tried to gift it to me and I declined it.
Dr. Gaben Cum Lube 18 Jul 2012 @ 12:55pm
okay, It's actually 20 bucks, but you get the point.
Dr. Gaben Cum Lube 18 Jul 2012 @ 12:50pm
Still don't have L4D2, fuck that overrated game. The first one is seriously better. L4D2: Pay uz 30 bucks to get new weaponz!!!1111

Moon 15 Jul 2012 @ 1:35pm
I don't care if its $5 or under I'm not buying it and never will.
Moon 15 Jul 2012 @ 1:32pm
Exterminator: They only released token things for the original. No new weapons or special infected but merely a silly additional game mode and maybe a map or two. Sorry but that's a far cry from what was promised.
*TNA* Exterminator 15 Jul 2012 @ 7:12am
For $5 I bought it. You can't go wrong for $5. The boycott worked. They released stuff for the originial. The admins got to talk to valve.
F943 15 Jul 2012 @ 2:45am
The Steam sale is on, remember people, continue not buying it.

You see guys, in this world there's two kinds of people, those who know what boycott mean, and those who don't know.

Which kind of people are you?

I still don't own this game and I have to say I am really glad I never paid for it.
Proseidon۞ 6 Jan 2012 @ 6:26pm
i payed $5 dollars for this game. If they had supported l4d1 better, i would have paid $40 or so when it came out.

Well, it has been 2.5 years since this group was started and I can honestly say I have yet to play L4D2 except for the demo for 5 minutes.
Verus Redemptio 25 Nov 2011 @ 6:31am
@What Is Love? It's not just the price but the principle of the matter. They claimed they would support L4D the same way they supported TF2. Instead they divided the community into two games.

And for the record, I spent $250 on L4D buying myself and my friends copies of the game expecting I would be playing it for years. Little did I know the game would be obsolete one year later and we would've burned through the content within a month. Meanwhile I have friends who spent $20 on TF2, and they were getting new maps and content loooong after release.

I've avoided buying L4D2 for as low as $4, and in fact it was once gifted to me, and I didn't accept it. I let the gift expire and the person ended up gifting it to someone else. No price, even free, will undo the damage done to the franchise IMO.
Boxwood 25 Nov 2011 @ 4:55am
STILL GOING STRONG
Some Type Of Badass 27 Oct 2011 @ 11:57am
Even if half the members here have L4D2. That's still 9000 people that didn't buy the game. Valve is selling the game for $20 right now. (ignroing the sale)
that's $180,000 or more valve lost. I think Valve will think twice before lying to it's community again.
{Rx}iBot 26 Oct 2011 @ 11:16am
If you cant tell why L4D is better than L4D2 you should sell your shitty PC and buy a console.

I only see a few pointless servers when I want to play l4d online.. that sucks
What Is Love? 26 Sep 2011 @ 8:06pm
Fuck that shit, l4d2 has all the l4d1 maps so l4d1 is now not needed. Suck it the fuck up l4d2 is 20 bucks you faggots
Chemical Taint 18 Sep 2011 @ 10:37pm
Like most of you I am still commited to boycotting this game. Even if it was given to me for FREE (Which I see other members have aquired it), I still would not play it, to avoid further dividing the community. So when you are about to play L4D2, I suggest you just delete it and play the original instead. Please and thanks.

I now own L4D2 but, for the record, I got it for free from Valve by winning their all access pass. I doubt that I'll play it much but figured I'd clarify why this particuliar community member owns the game. It's not hypocrisy. Valve just gave it to me. XD
Juno 31 Aug 2011 @ 3:30pm
Yeah, CoD is an overused game.
Major pwnage 31 Aug 2011 @ 2:28pm
Sounds like any fps, Especially the Call of Duty Series, Counterstrike or insert any game series name here..........
Juno 30 Aug 2011 @ 3:47pm
I think the whole idea of the group wasn't to really boycott the whole game and make it fail.
It was boycotting against Valve's ethics of selling the same game with a few added ideas and 4 new maps for the price of a full game. It was simply a recycled idea.
Major pwnage 30 Aug 2011 @ 8:51am
When they offered l4d2 at the DLC price (When it went on sale for I forget how much) Is when I bought it. I wouldnt have paid full price for it, I agree it was a dick move on valves part, but so is game sales in general now. Look at tf2 how its free now and hats, wtf lol. Valve doesnt know what there doing obviously because this is new to all of us, but it seems to be working for the most part.
BloodDoll 30 Aug 2011 @ 2:16am
Major pwnage we aren't unloyal, or at least I'm not. 1. I didn't pay for L4D2, I only play with the original survivors (mods for that.) I mostly just play custom maps. AND B. The core L4D2 game I hate and I hate all the new survivors, and I constantly attack those points I hate on various websites and reviews still going to this day. I'm well known to do it. If Valve/Steam checks my records they'll see that trash game was gifted to me anyway. I probably hate the second game or entirely different reasons than most people here and I've so many enemies on other sites stating why. And I definitely didn't buy any of valve's other garbage.
Franz Liszt 27 Aug 2011 @ 10:32am
