I got the same problem with my survival map ....
I think this is one of the reasons why people don't like to use the workshop to get maps + the search engine .

Hey , every time when I compile a map in hammer , all the addons start redownloading in game ...

I reinstalled steam + l4d2 + windows and is the same .

will this be fixed or I need to unsubscribe to all the addons I got ?

Hey , there is a bug in l4d2 that makes it imposible to add custom sounds on the maps

The sounds don't work because they aren't cached and cannot be loaded from vpk .

Can someone fix this please ? Because I'm making a map and I want to add some custom sounds .

It's doesn't appear to be every game launch or exit. I'll disable some vpks, the addonlist.txt will have "0" for them, then at some point they get removed both from the addonlist and deleted from addons\workshop, then next game launch, they get re-installed and all enabled again.

I've had it happen I'd guess about six times now but I can't figure out the exact sequence that triggers it
