The Joplin Garage Hideout is a safe house for the members of the Barrow Gang (Bonnie and Clyde's notorious gang). So come in and relax and have fun, but please be respectful to other members. No racial slurs, and language should be tailored for your neighbor. Meaning that if someone asks for something to stop, then please be courteous.
If you are ever having problems on one of our servers (Joplin Hideout or Joplin's Anarchy), if you would like to make suggestions, or if you just want to chat then you can contact either of us through email or through online chat. Rules for the server(s):
Be polite:
Slurs, crass or hateful language, threats and bullying will not be tolerated and may result in a player being banned.
Be courteous:
This is a community. There is a large variation in ages, origins and lifestyles. Be mindful that some things may be very offensive to some while being completely harmless to others. If someone requests that behavior stops then please stop. If you feel that a request is unwarranted, please contact us so that we can try and resolve the situation without a feud.
No Fighting:
Two people arguing on a game spoils the fun for everyone playing. If a disagreement becomes heated, please contact us rather than escalating it. If players are fighting, no matter who started it, if anyone becomes vulgar, threatening or abusive, they may be removed.
Special rules for the Anarchy server:
There have been a lot of problems revolving around the use of cheats. To clarify our position, it is important to understand that you cannot enable certain cheats without enabling them all. This is a flaw in the game code and we cannot change it. We wanted to design a server with unlimited ammo and no security, which is all that was intended for this server.
In the beginning we removed players that enabled extra cheats but it became impossible. What we decided was that if people want to use the extra cheats then it is fine, as long as they were courteous about it. Most cheats are just that, cheats. People don't like cheaters and it spoils the game for others. No-clip is a bit different. I understand the desire to use it but most people around you find it distracting and annoying. Also, no-clip can cause the server to crash... there are areas that were not designed to house players. Being in these areas can cause real problems on the server.
In short, rules involving cheats on the Anarchy server are simply a reiteration of the first rules. Be polite, be courteous. If someone asks you to disable cheats then do so. No argument and no question. You are cheating; if it bothers anyone then simply stop until they are gone.
Please keep in mind that we have jobs and children. We cannot monitor the server 24 hours a day. If there is an issue then we will look into it but it may take some time. We appreciate your understand in this matter.

Can you guys please get the Anarchy server up and running (like in the good ol days), so we can hopefully get a good group together and have fun playing on it... Thanks! :)
Still working on this... Steam is less than responsive and, despite the fact that private servers help them thrive, they will offer no support... gotta love this company. Anyway, our server connects to Steam and registers so i believe it is a Steam issue that we are not showing up in the list. I have requested that they look into this possibility but i doubt that will happen. We will keep trying on our end.
The server will not synch with Steam. We are looking into it and hope to have it back up soon. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Because of recent problems on the Anarchy server we will be banning people for extremely rude behaviour towards other players. This will include refusal to turn off cheats when asked, abusive language, maliscious name calling, racial slurs, threats or bullying. If you have a problem then please contact either Clyde or Bonnie, do not engage in a heated argument. We will try to be more available and more responsive but please understand that this is not a job for us... we have real work and a family. The server is checked frequently when we are available but we cannot monitor it 24 hours a day. Your help and understanding is appreciated. If you contact us then please include a day and approximate time so we can review the logs. Without that information it is virtually impossible to find.
Ghost, Ghostjr, Honey Badger, whatever your name happens to be. Contact me and we can discuss removing the ban. The abusive language will not be tolerated by anyone on this server. Cheats are not allowed on this server but cannot be disabled independently. Because of this, cheats are tolerated with the understanding that they are turned off when requested by other players.
A short note about cheats. Anarchy was not designed to be a cheats server, it is a side effect of the shortcomings of the software. There is no way to enable certain cheats without unblocking all of them. It has been a source of frustration from the begining but we cannot fix that flaw. Early on we removed people for cheating but later decided that it was alright to play with the cheats on the server as long as players remained respectful to others and stopped the cheats when asked. It's all very simple, treat people with respect, play nicely and be a good neighbor. I will be modifying our rather outdated introduction on this group to reflect what is expected for both Joplin Hideout and for Joplin Anarchy. We hope to start rotating these servers weekly, biweekly or monthly, or I may build a second server again... haven't decided on that.
