According to 1UP, the much-rumored redesign of the PSP is called PSP Go! and will launch this fall, and instead of having UMD functionality, games will be downloaded to its built-in flash memory. An eight and 16 GB unit will available for purchase.

“According to sources directly involved with the new system, we have learned that Sony will [unveil] their revamped PSP at this year’s E3 conference in June,” reads the 1UP post. “In addition, since the UMD is going away, Sony will have over 100 classic and new PSP titles available for download at launch.”
