Welcome to the Great Lakes Deathmatch Association. This Group is intended specifically for Deathmatch players in the Great Lakes Region only. The Great Lakes Region consists of the U.S. states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and the Canadian province of Ontario. They all have one thing in common: They border one of the five Great Lakes (Lake Michigan, Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Lake Erie & Lake Ontario).
This group's intent is to get all Deathmatch players that live within the Great Lakes Region here in this group so that we can find, play & befriend each other. To create a closer-knit community. Another intent is to find & indentify as many Deathmatch servers that run within the Great Lakes Region as possible so that we may enjoy low-latency game-play.
IN ORDER TO BE A MEMBER OF THIS GROUP, YOU MUST:
1.) Play Half-Life 2: Deathmatch on a regular basis, and I don't mean role-play, co-op or puzzle-map servers. This is DEATHMATCH... We play it like it was intended: To kill each other for our enjoyment. :)
2.) Live in one of the 8 states or province listed above.
3.) Must not have a V.A.C. (Valve Anti-Cheat) Ban on record.
In starting this group, I have searched the Steam Community for Deathmatch players that live in the above listed states / province that have played Deathmatch within the last two weeks. Some have many many hours on record, some just a fraction. It is my intent to invite only those that play Deathmatch regularly. So if you received a request to join this group, but you do not intend to play Deathmatch on a regular basis, please do not accept the invitation.
If you have become a member of this group & you know of another player that meets the three guidelines above for being a member, please let me know. If you are not a member & would like to join, simply leave a request in the comments section on my profile page (HλLF-LIFE² PΛIΠ). Thank you.
Please check out the link below for my new "click-to-connect" server list for the GLDA. When you click the "connect" link for a specific server, you will automatically be connected to that server.
Oh & by the way, I won't tolerate trouble makers. If I witness any member of this group being a jerk, you will be kicked out. Period.

: if someone by the name of (Bojangles) wants to add you to their list don't accept it. It is a virus. Tell everyone on your list because if somebody on your list adds him or her you will get it too. It is a hard drive killer and a very horrible virus. Please pass this on to everyone on your list. We need to find out who is using this account

HK | NipeR, I have invited a total of 139 people to be a member of this group. Only 62 of those have accepted my invitation thus far. I would love to have all 139 people accept the invite, but unfortunately, some appearently don't feel the need to be a part of this. I did my best. Hopefully members of this group will let me know of other potential members (described above) & this group will continue to grow.
