Waiting till my friend gets the drawing done, lol, he was the one to come up with the idea but doesn't know how to map.
I appreciate any attempt at making an AvD map, DWMM. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out!
I should maybe see about restarting work on Cilento myself, the crappy alpha version thats floating around could use some work in making it look pretty. Or even maybe just not ugly as hell...

Making a AvD map, trying to, but theme is out at sea on an oil rig. The attacking team will start on one end of the ship and fight across. First Cap point is at the end of the ship, then next somewhere in the lower levels of the oilrig and thats all i got atm.
:) you are in, we're more a group of people who enjoy AvD in FF and play together than a serious clan though. Just be sure to drop by our forums once in a while ;)

I wish they could. They could in TFC. But in FF, I dunno why... they just seem to provoke the worst from players of the opposite style. I'm well aware I'm guilty of this myself, but have seen it so frequently on both sides.
Not enough playerbase for all those who hate the opposite style to stay seperatated, I guess. In TFC for example, I'd never have to join a server that was solely CTF; getting a full server AvD game on a dedicated AvD server was no problem. For the 3 years up to FF's release, I don't think I ever played a single CTF map in TFC. Here, you have to put up with bitching about sucky maps, and people either forcing an RTV or emptying the server, etc. whenever most AvD maps are put on.
That, and I also think FF has never really catered to AvD style - more a case of CTF above all - so the AvD playerbase has generally left for TF2, gone back to TFC, or whatever else.
:) sorry for the rant, if you come back to read it. It's a sore point for me though.
