Easily the sloppiest, most painful, most troublesome tryout we've done for LPU is now finished. Ugh. All kinds of problems JUST starting.

Off to a rocky start tonight. Our host service, LowPings is doing maintenance or something on Vent. We can't connect, no CP either.

Finally done with GMod uploads. About to restart the server and try them out. Again... Hold on to your butts.
Okay... finally starting some last deleting and then the uploads to the GMod server. Finger's crossed and all that.
Did I mention I'm not even uploading yet? I'm still grabbing all the svn's and downloads.
So far, all mods that can be updated/installed remotely have been. The server too should be up to date. But now I'm uploading manually.
Starting a friends only test coop game on the l4d2 server. Join if you like.
I know I said I gave up, but I couldn't. Synergy Server is back up. Seems some content wasn't mounting after our host's last server move.
Long rant cut short for a steam comment -- we didn't have ep1 or 2 content for nearly five months and nobody told me. I just thought everyone was really enjoying the original game. Never thought it was re-setting to hl2's opening because it couldn't find ep1. Communicate with us folks. Tell us when this stuff is going on.
And pray that the lowpings folks stop making the mistakes and bad decisions they keep making. I've already learned from mine.

Yup. Giving up on the Synergy. looks like another host issue, but I'm getting reports of the steam id error also. Which is a client issue.
Basically, you have to delete the config folder from your Steam directory and then re-log in to steam, re-approve your computer with the emailed code, and then you can play Synergy again on servers.
This is all rather bothersome, but could actually be part of the issue with our host too. Something similar I mean. But they have also had a lot of issues with connections lately on our Synergy and Minecraft server... with periodic hiccups on the GMod and L4D2. Frankly, I'm loosing patience with LowPings.

It appears that the Synergy Server mysteriously stopped working some time today. Ready for L4D2 update, but can't due to fixing Synergy.
Seriously folks, report these things to us. I had no idea and could have started fixing this sooner.

I should have everything put together correctly now with regard to add-ons. Just waiting for source mod to update.
