Rebellion's classic and groundbreaking game, Aliens versus Predator: Gold Edition

For anyone who still enjoys this game, and especially for anyone who wants to tear up some classic multiplayer! This isn't a really serious group, you don't have to put some abbreviation in your nickname, there's no schedule, it's just an easy way for people to find others who still play and put together a match. (We'll use the tried and true Gamespy Arcade to start multiplayer matches, just like the old days.)

If it's anything AvP1 related, that's what this group is for.

-Melpyth AvP mod. Numerous changes to avp, more frequent updates in multiplayer, marine shotgun, etc. Extract this to your AvPGE directory to install, then in the REG directory in your avpge folder, run MelPyth_lobbyClient.reg:

-----PORT FORWARDING-----

Some of you may/probably will have trouble connecting to multiplayer games. If you are behind a router, you will need to open ports 80, 2300-2400, 8000-8999, 47624. If your router doesn't support port-ranges there may be other options, such as putting your computer's IP address on the router's DMZ for example. www.portforward.com is a great resource for this if you are lost.
