Gamers-Cy was founded in 2001 by a group of gamers, with the purpose to expand the gaming community in Cyprus. We were only a handful back then; we loved gaming, and thought that Cyprus was well worth a solid gaming community and someone to look after it. As the years passed the community boomed at a rate our teenage minds were incapable of even imagining and that handful of gamers found itself in the center of thousands of newcomers.
We've been through a lot. The fight with providers for lower latencies and hardware, the never-ending search for supporters and sponsors and organizing gaming events, competitions and tournaments are only a few of what we have done. We created online services for the community and guided the community using them to provide it with healthy, competitive, online environment.
At this moment, almost 10 years later, Gamers-Cy is no longer run by teenagers. It is run by professionals in many fields such as IT, law and marketing, that still haven't lost their passion for gaming. Our purpose is no longer just to expand the gaming community, but also to provide it with high-quality online and offline, gaming and non-gaming services, to make Cyprus a gamers’ paradise.
