Valve Anti-Cheat system does make mistakes?
This is a pretty delicate subject. No one really knows how Valve Anti-Cheat system works. Can you get banned for nothing? Most of you will probably say "No! VAC is great".
Well here you go:

Here's an empty profile (has no games at all) with VAC status ban(s) on record.

What do you think about VAC?
I know that right now probably a lot of cheaters will come here and say "I didn't cheat!!! WTF VALVE GIVE MY MONEYZZZ BACKK !!1!" but the profile above proves that VAC does make mistakes.
Everything does, it's just a program.

Update:
It couldn't be a free weekend account because in that period of time there was no free weekends with VAC enabled games.
It might be a guest pass though. So my bad if it is ;P

i made a another steam account few weeks ago when tf2 had a free weekend so i could hack without the fear of VAC ban. that account did not got banned....
i cheated & got VAC banned .. :D ( still worth it )
I am 100% sure that i haven't cheated, i had no cheating software on my computer, no one had acces to my steam ETC. and i AM vac banned. I AM 100% sure that VAC SUX because:
[1]. It makes fucking mistakes
[2]. Its frickin permament
[3]. there is no unbanning, they won't tell you reason, date and other useful information about cheats DETECTED. (i am sure that they don't have such information either :DDD)

My friend got banned for nothing and needed to buy new css once...
This comes as no surprise, but to be honest Valve cleaning up their act with VAC is well overdue. I recall kicking off to em a while ago about it, just to have them spoon feed me the usual "it doesn't make mistakes" .
They actually had the cheek to say it's "a system to keep known cheaters off secured servers". Not "A supplement for a good admin". Although that's exactly what it is. Plus, them actually SUGGESTING you rebuy all your games sounds strange, doesn't it
I wouldn't have a problem with a few false bans however if they were just temporary. There's certain cases where some people may get banned for cheating when their account was hijacked or something. It sounds like an excuse, but there's no denying it could happen.

You should've stayed with what you used to be about; the unfair pricing for European members. With 20 000+ members, you can't just post something that upsets you without verifying the content.
It's obvious that you can't handle the responsibility of leading a large group striving to improve the Steam platform. I can not support this group anymore and will leave.

Guest pass / free periods ... stolen key removal ... game removed due to payment fraud etc.
