Against High Server FPS (1337fps)

High server FPS for orangebox games are not helpful. While 1000 fps seem optimal for hlds and pre-orangebox srcds, the orangebox srcds runs best with FPS equal the tickrate.
So, use
* fps_max 70 for tickrate 66 (default for CS:S, DOD:S, TF2)
* fps_max 110 for tickrate 100 (only DOD:S, TF2)
Higher FPS cost only CPU usage and make if anything the server worse. Make sure to match the tickrate as close as possible. Especially do not use FPS only slightly higher than the tickrate (like 68fps instead of 66fps - also don't use 100fps instead of 66!), in doubt stay very slightly below! If you do not manage do to so, 200fps or 1000fps will be better, if you reach them as close as possible (again, if in doubt stay slightly below).

mach fps_max 101 macht auf jeden mehr sinn als fps_max 33
Thx für die Info... könnte mir jemand die "goldenen Werte" für Tick30 nennen? habe fps_max auf 33 und bin jetzt unsicher ob 100 Sinn machen würde....
