I found some really low durability maps. I made some paper and an ink stick, but that didn't do the trick. Is there a way to copy a map?

A pirate ghost barged into my surface base out of nowhere and refused to stop chasing me even after I fled fairly far away. I had scaled armor and a particularly good granite spear, but he kept dealing 15 damage per hit to me so I couldn't square up in melee. Skills need more low level items to craft that will raise skill. Example: Leather working. After creating a few waterskins, backpacks, and a set of leather armor the only way to raise skill level is by grinding the same items. Assembling and disassembling the same few items over and over to raise your skill and/or hope to craft a higher quality tier version of one that you are currently using.
