I don't like the time limit either. Moreover, 1 hour you only get to know the world but not enough of the depth the game has. A level approach would be better. Or even crafting a little pack with some basic mechanics and then a couple of advanced puzzles. Something that is not already in the game). The Stanley Parable approach.

I want to agree with those who think a time limit is not a good way to demo this game. I think putting up paywalls - literal in-game walls - would be a better option.

After thinking about it for a while, I am not thrilled by the limited time demo for Toki Tori 2. It is a puzzle game, and depending on how well people do, they may get far or struggle even getting through the tutorial-esque parts running them through the mechanics.

Basically, the timer has the potential to either reward quick minds, but can easily punish those who aren't usually playing puzzles or think that quickly. A set, well-picked array of levels would eliminate a perceived unfairness or negative feelings on the slower players' end, I think

an hour seems right but in all for this game id rather have limted distace i can travel thatn a time limt

The idea of a soft cutoff at a checkpoint is great, and unlimited retries means that people can take it as slow as they wish while still being able to experience a great deal of the game's mechanics.

As for the length, an hour is a nice round figure, and clever players should probably be able to reach the water mountain, which introduces some new environments.

30-45 minutes seems like it would be enough to learn the basics, and maybe find some advanced stuff as well.

I thinks free weekend is a bed thing too. To stay in topic I would to stick with a level restriciton and not time demo. there are ppl who can beat a game very fast ( very good a puzzle games ) and there are ppl who just enjoy the game and don't rush. Give ppl unlimited time and make just some of the first levels of the game accesable. :frog:

NO! No free weekend. Most ppl will turn into assholes, finish the game and never buy. I saw such solutions during Dead Island Riptide Free Weekend.
