10,000 seems like a lot to me, thats more then the no of people online playing CoH at any one time.peak is 12,000+.
Since I cant tell any of my mates how this game plays, I cant really get them to sign up or get interested, as no one we know has access. So dont really know if this is gonna be worth the time/effort etc for them.
If you opened this up now, with the 3,000+, word would get out a LOT quicker. If anyone plays ranked CoH they would know there is a huge no of ppl looking for a new game thats balanced for team games, and right now would be a perfect time to try and get those players to make a switch...just an idea.
MoW:AS is currently being presented at Gamescom in Germany, many journalists will write about it, and maybe even link their readers here. In any case it should boost publicity and probably also the member count on here.
