Finally! We have published Faerie Solitaire Mobile for iOS devices. We still have a lot of updates to publish for it, but this version 1.1.1 is pretty good! It will be 99cents until 7/7/11, and the iPad HD version will be 99cents until 7/7/11 too once Apple approves it.
Note: The sizes of the art on the top are the full sizes, but they will be scaled down a bit to the bottom sizes so that they fit better on the cards. This art is not final. If you see anything which bugs you please let me know so I can fix it. I see a bunch of stuff which I want to improve on, but overall I'm pleased with the improvements.
New full size is 750x1070 vs the old full size of 75x107. These cards are 75x107. The new full sized cards will make it possible to display the cards in game at larger sizes without losing detail. Also, I made sure to paint them at a large enough size to allow me to get some real decks of cards printed! :D As soon as I get the cards perfect I'll make it possible to buy real decks of FS cards for a limited of time.
You guys may have noticed the new header at the top of this blog. That's a bit of a prototype for the logo I'm hoping we'll be able to have commissioned for the game. I'm not that great at font metrics, but after several hours of tweaking and path-editing in Illustrator, I think I've got the vectors down to how I want it. All that's left would be to send it off to a pro to give it a nice paint-over so that it can be used in our promotional art, title screen, and etc.
"Work continues on the alpha. The built-in movement and collision routines with the main tool I'm using to develop FaeSaga in are a bit of a double-edged sword. On one hand, it allows for rapid prototyping of what the game will sorta feel like when it is complete. "
