Uhmnh... It comes with people who own Disharmony, too... Which is by no means 20$ or an exclusive alpha backer thing?

@Finsol and RedEye: As others have explained already there is a difference between promoting a game with items available in said game and promoting a game with items available for other games.

I am sure the Devs' intent was to reward backers and not upset anyone. But the way they chose to reward people - as can be read in some comments here - rubs some people the wrong way. It is perceived as a try at a cashgrab by some people which isn't good.

I love Endless Space. I have no interest in EndlessLegends or DotE though because they are totaly different genres, which I don't like very much. Wanting to play the Vaulters without a need to buy another game has nothing to do with entitlement but with my unwillingless to overpay for that faction and end up with another game I'll never play in my steam list. As was said: Release it as DLC I'll pay the 5 Dollars and everyone's happy.

I have no interest in DotE, nor do I feel a new faction is worth ~20 (the cost of DotE), so I guess I'll just have to not give them my money this time.

It's sad, because I have generally enjoyed giving them money in the past.

It's hardly a "pet" PsiRedEye, it's an entirely new class with functional differences in playstyle. Your analogy is completely off kilter.

Sadly it's a lose-lose situation for pretty much everyone. Since you seem to have some difficulty understanding the situation, Finsol, put the dunce cap on yourself first before you go telling others to do so.

You're going to inevitably get a bunch of people who don't care about Endless Space getting a reward they'll never use, and a bunch of ticked off Endless Space players who are miffed that they're forced to purchase content they're not interested in, in order to get something they ARE interested in at an inflated price.

The only way this ends up being fair is if the Vaulter's content gets put up as DLC once DotE releases.

Whoever complains about not getting a *promotional race* that is part of an alpha package for early adopters needs to put on the dunce hat and stand in the corner. It's part of a preorder pack for DotE that also includes not only the Vaulters race for ES, but a Vaulters race alternate skin for Endless Legend & a special hero w/ custom ship for DotE.

If you really want it that bad then you'll support the devs and pick up the founder pack while it's on sale, if not then please stop complaining.

How the hell does this upset customers? Let's say you bought World of Warcraft, the collector's edition. Now, a box of Lucky Charms is released with an exclusive pet in it. Are you entitled to said pet because you bought the original collectors edition? No. No you are not. They are trying to promote their new game by incentivising it's purchase. If you feel entitled to something, you are wrong.

Way to upset customers. Exclusive content that comes with things not related to the game = stupid idea. Anyhow: could anyone post the "Vaulter" traits so we can replicate them ourselves?

From their blog " However, you Endless Space lovers, we have not forgotten about you!* Indeed, we have prepared a nice surprise for those who happen to purchase the Founder Pack of Dungeon of the Endless.."
*If you have given us another 20$ (About 15$ now with the sale, but still)
feeling the love right here.
