This silly thinking of futuristic combat where the wheel is reinvented is just stupid.

Next update should include a rail gun with no ballistic coefficiant that way I can snipe from 5000 yards :D

Enemy special forces not adhearing to light discipline at night, making them easy to avoid or even ambush, not bery believable that these troops recieved proper training.

How come the enemy and friendly AI don't seek the proper cover when being assualted?

How come the enemy doesn't pop smoke?

How come enemy grenaiders rarely use their luanchers?

How come the enemy AI doesn't flinch when you are suppresssing them?

It isn't just their "reflexes" that need to be adjusted but their behaivors and choices.
I would say 1 out of 5 shots at 400 meters should hit a stationary target, and RARELY ever hit on full auto. Yet, the chances in Arma of getting hit at 300 meters distance to full auto fire is still remarkably high, I am glad they are fixing that.

Omni: Insurgents are still using SKS rifles out there. These were developed right towards the end of World War II, and almost immediately phased out or relegated to back-line logistics personnel and honour gaurds.

So for a gun that was active unti the '70s, like the AK-47, I think it's a safe bet that there may be some kicking around, seeing as how the rifles and ammunition are ridiculously plentiful and last forever. Or are they using AK-74s? I haven't played the game, but recall ARMA 2 featured the 74 quite prominently. Those are still in use, and are the current military rifle for most Eastern bloc countries.

why would a Hellenic island nation be using AK47s in 2035? Although FALs and G3s would be nice ;)

If "tweaking ai config options" is BIS's equivilient of "taking on a whale" then no wonder the AI is a fucking mess. Sick of the constant denial and ignorance of the real problems with arma, shit performance, and thin on content and features compared to Arma 2 and ACE mod.

I cant say repetitive. This is arma and you can do any type of mission/gamemode you want. Not to mention mods. Compare it to BF or CoD where you have a set nr of maps and thats it.

All i want (that is the most pressing issue) is real damage again. please BIS for the love of everything make bullets deadly again so we dont need to spend half a mag to take someone down with MG/assault rifle. For SMG its alright though. Last night i even shot an APC from the rear with RPG and nothing happened. Some scratches. Damage seem very low globablly compared to previous titles and its not so nice.

Yeah, lacking an AKM of any variant when it's one of the best represented firearms in video games is a huge downer. GAMURRRR PRIDE etc.

Yah Bigshot its pretty disapointing. This lack of content is weak! Even to have a games without some variant of AK-47 is a slap to many gamers face. Everything in game is getting so overplayed and repetitive. Only thing they have added since alpha was A new map and a few new tanks. Woohoo =/

Anyone who knows their way around the editor for the past 10 years knows that there hasn't been anything actually added here. In fact they seem to be taking previous options away from us. You've always been able to adjust individual groups/units in the editor, so what's the big deal. This blog doesn't really say much of anything useful except that they seem to have some ideas that they may be working on.

yeah, please take stealth in account, especially at night.
