SteamCritic in its condition as of know is no better than Metacritic. First off there are like 5-10 reviews to the big games, and none for a lot of small ones, then I saw quite a number of reviews whichwere full of shit, mind you gamers can be just as biased as critics. Although they tend to overrate games they own rather than underrate them.

No, that's a good explanation Pony, you've sold me on the system. And I'd say it's better for games rating to be based on fanboys rather than haters.

I was gonna go rate P2 but seems I've not played it an hour on Steam so am not allowed :)

Everyone feel free to rate PIII a low score.

But the fact is - every time I visit SteamCritic and see it's ratings - they seem to be just so much more "objective". So overall - I see SteamCritic as an interesting experiment, that so far seems to be working fine. Maybe, one day, Valve is going to notice that and implement something similar to Steam... would be so much better than Metascore ;)

Damn, that got longer than I wanted :)

Damn, that was a little unexpected. But yeah - I honestly hate Metacritic and influence it has on gaming in general (especially when it comes to publishers). Not to mention how flooded their system is (converting 5star rating into a numeric value?!). At the same time - I also don't think User score on Metacritic is a nice representation (Is 3.8/10 really an appropriate rating for Diablo 3? Or 2.2/10 for MW3? - yeah, I dislike both of these games, but that's far from being objective). Steamcritic, however - because, it requires a game on Steam account, managed to avoid huge number of haters, who would simply give a game 1.0/10 because "it's COD" or "it has nasty DRM" - you could say that, this goes the other way, that because of the requirement to have a game on Steam Account, they are promoting fanboys etc. and I wouldn't argue.

Done. And not just 3 words like some other people >.>

Just tell the truth and there will be no reason to invalidate the review.
