i just think its the wrong direction when tackling why people didnt co-op last game (well... people did; but only when they knew they could carry anyone or needed them to help with maintainence... but the maps maintainence was an issue on - that lava cavern - were horribly un-singleplayer friendly)
> They are basically making it so that someone (like me) who wants to only play one character isn't at a disadvantage in the later stages if I just want that one character for co-op. It doesn't have anything to do with singleplayer.

that has everything to do with single player

it means that the campaign will be so easy it can be done with one char (seems like it would be boring... but if its just the campaign -not challenges/survival- i can deal with it)

it also means that despite how easy it is, multi hero players (and players should rightly be rewarded for levelling/gearing multiple chars) will still be at an advantage strategy wise; that strategy advantage then gets increased in co-op with a bigger pool of heroes... which seems fair i suppose (if they're keeping mob scaling and static defense units in co-op)... bleh post limit

I'm pretty sure this will have nothing to do with Single player. They are just making Coop better, and more like what a Coop game should be like. So don't worry .-.

That isn't what they are saying. They are basically making it so that someone (like me) who wants to only play one character isn't at a disadvantage in the later stages if I just want that one character for co-op. It doesn't have anything to do with singleplayer.

No likey. Absolutely no likey. Dont shove CO-OP down my throat by force, i respond really bad to that.

"We also want to make it possible to complete the entirety of the online co-op game with a single hero, if that’s what you desire."

Ok.... so... your making the game more co-op dependent.... and for those of us playign solo... we're just stuck? Co-op or bust!!!!
on the fence with this change... (probably because im a bit of a control freak) i liked having a designated builder... either it was up to me to build a suitable defense (most of the time) or i knew i shouldnt do anything (to not-screw up others defence - i didnt like not being a builder)

this seems like it limits single player in terms of strategies and doesnt adress the main reason i feel most people werent keen on multiplayer matches; the combination of mob scaling and limited defense points (units?... havent played DD in a long time)

... unless thats already been covered in a past blog post; i must confess im not religiously following development

I wasn't terribly fond of that mechanic because of the issues stated. I am glad that this is being altered.
