You couldnt have visual progression in DD1 cause a Knight in his boxer shorts is pretty much as high as you can go :) . On a serious note though, if I'm reading this correctly, armor will change your apperance once equipped. If so, will outfits, like the holiday themed ones, return in DD2?

@Tydo We didn't include weapons in there because right now this system has been developed for the armor. We're still having internal conversations on whether or not it should be adopted for other items as well. As for accessories, we're still debating whether they'll make a comeback. Right now we don't have any dyes or colors but thanks for bringing it up. I agree with you on "Customization ftw". I love to customize as well and I'll send this suggestion to the devs.

Just to prove i am big enough to look past my grudge, here is a blatantly obvious bone for you:

Dye/color relics, to be applied to any piece of equip. Similar scheme as the current 3-color system in character customization, except as fixed-color drops intended to be applied to the wearables. Customization ftw.

oh and forgot accessories. The style conscious fashionistas want to know.

So are weapons being left out of this?
From the blog it sounds like this is only for the armor slots. Why were weapons not mentioned at all? Not even a yes/no/working on it.

I'm looking forward to it.
