Haha, oh right, I did link to it up there. Forgot :P

I felt like it needed to be pointed out since a number of innovations I'm using in Cogmind were first prototyped with X@COM. So maybe Cogmind isn't quite the first, but, well, they're the same code at heart. Surprisingly, some people who know about both games don't realize they're both mine!

lol You mentioned it first. :P If you're gonna mention it, I'm gonna hype it. :D

It *was* because of X@COM and my amazement at its UI and gameplay that I found and bought COGMIND.

Yeah autoupdates for this beautiful pile of matter and electron art is going to be great.

As for the Mac version I could possibly eventually have a Wine-wrapped version through Steam. Will be exploring that option during EA. I'm mostly worried about having to provide customer support if I do provide an official release though, because I only know Windows... I like providing quality support, but that's hard to do in areas where I'm clearly not an expert! It will help when we see how big the player base gets, as then there could be others around to help me out there. (Certainly we know it's very stable in Wine, the question is mainly just specific users with issues in their own Mac settings, for example.)

Happy to finally see it out on Steam! Mostly cause it saves me the hassle of downloading each new version manually like before :D It's by far the most beautiful ASCII art game I've ever played, and not only that, it's also an amazing game ;D

Will there ever be a native Mac version? I've been running the DRM free builds through Wine without any problems at all, but would prefer not having to fiddle with that. I do have Windows computers though, but for lunch gaming at the office a mac version would be great.
