Nice, my original disks were broken long time ago and I thought this game was already dead, but no, thank you guys for taking one of the best games ever back to life! I will enjoy this one again, also the second part too, I know that is in work, and why you brought this one back to life!!

Just wanted to say thanks for breathing new life into this great and under rated game. I hope you guys add a skirmisher mode to it would be great, and make the modding tools more user friendly to lower the skill barrier to modding. Mods can do a lot to make an old game have long legs. Doom still gets new mods even today.

So I can't use the options with the community beta update? Resolution/v-sync/fov etc? Because it displayed in 4:3 mode and no new options with it. I disabled it and the new stuff showed up . What does the community update beta thing add anyway? Anything different from this? (by the way F-ING AWESOME, THANK YOU, WILL BUY NEXUS 2 INSTANTLY, EVEN PRE-ORDE WHICH IS A NO NO FOR ME USUALLY)

swkotorfan, if you like single player experience, you should check out Starpoint Gemini Warlords or previous Starpoint Gemini 2 game. I also pledged Star Citizen for Squadron 42, simply because I think it can be good. I don't think PU will be released any time soon. And I'm talking years...

This is a very welcomed update for a classic game, I think I should try this new version soon. :)

After the already reestablished demand for old-school space sim games - Star Citizen; Elite; No Man's Sky; Everspace, to name a few, a similar l trend has started to emerge for old school sci-fi RTS games - Grey Goo; Ancient Space; Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, all of which have suffered from bad or non-existent marketing.

Speaking as someone who backed Star Citizen only for the "Squadron 42" single player campaign, I really hope we get to see Nexus 2 & Homeworld 3 in the following years, as I believe the time is right. Nexus, in particular, is such a unique game that it doesn't actually compete with other space RTS games, it complements them! It really has a niche of its own and I believe some smart marketing can do wonders for the IP. I'm really happy a company with high production values such as Nordic has acquired it and I hope to soon see some of the original devs backed up and finally developping Nexus 2 :)
