Pancho, that is something Mike and I are still debating.

Salty, thank you for your kind words. We're very interested in why you are not willing to pay. Is it APW, comics in general, or something else? We'd love to hear your reasoning. It helps how we look at our project.

It's a good comic but I am not willing to pay really.

I`d pay a 100 times more if someone would work on Half Life 3... It is a very good Comic, and I´d probably buy the other Episodes, but the Title of the free Part should have had a : "Episode 1" in it. That way People won`t take it so messed up.

Hi biggerboat.

We definitely agree - we didn't go about this in the best way (there's more on the discussion board about this, if you want to check that out).

That said, we never at any point "pretended" it was free to coax people into buying it in the future. That was not a development we ever anticipated, and it came in at the last minute. I know it looks bad, but I can assure you, what you are insinuating is absolutely not the case!

Again, I am fine that they want to make money off of this, I am totally fine with that, but to go about it the way they did is abit shitty.

lol Grez is a white knight with a bunch of money.

You are failing to see the poor business practice in this. They pretend like this is going to be free to gain interest, then get people hyped for the next chapter. They delay it, but say it's all done to add more hype (Which, by the way, I can bet that the delay was to work out a deal with valve about making money off of this thing) and then give us this piss-poor sneak peak as a replacement. This is an example of the shitty business practices we see so much of in our current gaming enterprise.

No one's bitching because they have to pay two dollars (which might I add, because it's going through Steam, you need to pay five dollars), they are bitching because they were told it would be free, they waited over-due for this promised free second chapter, and then last-second are tossed a "sneak peak" and are required to pay for it.

Part 2: As for crying about your 100% achievements being gone for this visual novel...well, this isn't the first game or novel to do that. As things expand, sometimes achievements get added. If you can't have 100% achievements on everything you own and this is earth-shattering for you, then I feel sorry for you and everyone around you...because clearly your life priorities are not in the right place. Jesus, either buy the DLC and read it because you like the comic and get back to your 100%, or just move on. It's not anyone's obligation to constantly give you stuff for free, snowflake. Put on your big boy (or big girl) pants and GTFOI.

To the authors: thanks for bringing such high quality content into the world. I'm happy to give you my two dollars. Keep up the good work.

Part 1: Wow, there are a lot of whiners out there. Did any of you selfish little crybabies even read about these guys putting up their own money to produce what (I think at least) is an extremely high quality comic? So what if you have to pony up two freaking dollars to read it...you blow more money on a coffee or a Big Mac and don't complain about that. Not to mention that if you bought a paper-based comic, it would cost 3X that much. The argument that there are kids that can't afford this and it deserves pushback is just silly. I see kids throw more money than that away at the stupid claw machine at a restaurant to have a 10% chance of winning some cheap-@ss stuffed animal. (cont'd)
