I didn't play year ago but i've read they've nerfed it alot since those earlier days.

@zaflis @mihap - if you are lucky and find the right factories you can make 10s of millions in a trip. i had at one point about 300 mil just from trading high end items. from about 2 or 3 pairs of factories. This was about a year ago, and i know trade has had a bit of a balance - so not sure how true it is now.

I would like to see some kind of color adjustment or out-standing highlight for Wreckage which will make it unmistakable ... I recently went from "Friendly" to "Abhorrent" with a favored faction by scrounging what I thought was a Wreck but was actually a "live" ship dis-armed and dis-engined in combat with another "Friendly" faction ... What a bummer - I was doing great business by salvaging both sides during the fight and blasting petty pirates when they appeared.

I would like to see an option where you don't take any faction adjustments if civil turrets were used. Or as others have mentioned, if damage was only to shields, then no faction adjustments.

But now I've destroyed that faction and got a ton of good loot from them, so maybe this is working as designed :steamhappy:

Hey guys, great update but wanted to let you know of a bug. I'm not sure if this issue came up as part of the new update, or was always present and I hadn't encountered it before, but now I run into a situation where if I leave a sector with my main ship, but there are friendly ships and my own fleet ships mining/salvaging in the sector, I run into an issue where I'm constantly losing relations with that factor (presumably they are in mining/salvaging crossfire). I've lost over 25k faction relations since my ship teleported and due to the delay in my hyperspace jump, I was stuck in the new sector for nearly 5 minutes while my jump cooled down. This actually led to a situation where a faction I was "Admired" with became neutral/hostile due to no action of my own, and since there is no way to control a ship if you are outside their sector, I couldn't do anything else other than fly around recruting crew members/buy items in an effort to maintain relationships.

Yeah, if you want to make money, looting is the way to go. There is only one real incentive to trade goods: to stock factories up to make products you want for crafting.

And those 200k cargo trips are one-time only, because the stations fill up and won't allow more selling. The profit margin also cause to nil because they adapt and change prices.

Highest profit from a single trip i've ever seen was maybe 200 or 300k credits. Selling fight loots after an hour or few nets you many millions.

@Zaflis you may be the only person to say that trade is less income.

Most people do trade for profit and blow stuff up for the fun. Look up "Avorion Goods" and try to figure out a good trade route with that info.
