Conan Exiles heads into Early Access on September 13!

“We’re very excited (and a bit nervous) about launching our first Early Access title,” said Funcom CEO Rui Casais. “The team wants to give the players the best possible experience, and while we are used to working on a game for several years before letting players in, this time around we will let players in just nine months after development started! It will be interesting to see how it develops over the summer, might find myself buying game for early access.

While I've got some characters I'm fond of in AoC, I hope Funcom are making Exiles with the future in mind rather than being compatible with game characters from something that is 7 or 8 years old, because that would suggest the characters in Exiles will be very antiquated by gaming standards (how they get customized etc).

That said, I want this game to be great, and survival suits the Hyborian Age - I'm a massive Conan fan and want my adventures in Hyboria to be epic, not a damp squib.

I hope this game succeeds. A survival game in a more rpg ish world, can realy be a awesome game. The survival games are getting more popular these days. Gamers to day like haveing more freedom and tools that interact more with a game and their character. After what I see in the trailer for this game, it has most of the things I wrote above. Thumbs up and hope this game succeeds and I am looking forward to September 13!!

Looks great. Trailer music needs work though - forget the electric guitars and go with the epic music in the vein of the Conan movies and the Age of Conan game.
