I bought this game whenever it first came out, back in the old actual physical copy CD/ROM days. I decided to start playing again with my Steam version and my, oh my do I feel hexed. Two scenarios happen: If I get a resource rich map barbarians come on in a never ending stream. With no barbarians, I get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ map. Is it my imagination, or is W a lot tougher than BTS? I realize they seem to work on different engines, but I'm playing with the same parameters I use on BTS. That is, same difficulty level, same type of terrain, same leaders, etc. Yet BTS seems a little too easy, while I can barely squeak by W without being annihilated. Has anyone else experienced this?...
