Civilization III Multiplayer Update Now Available

The update that replaces GameSpy with Steam for multiplayer functionality is now available via Steam. The game functions identically to the previous GameSpy version with the exception that the “Direct IP” option has been removed as it is no longer supported. Save game data should not be negatively affected. If you own a physical disc version of Civilization III and are interested in receiving this multiplayer update, please submit a support request[support.2k.com].

join the Group : CivPlayers Civ3 League

all multiplayer games are setup from there, you wont get a game just joining through vanilla lobby they are setup in this group. Join the group chat after join the group.

My version (Win10) was crashing after the 2K Games video on a white screen. Found I could get through it by hitting Esc during the 2K video.

Works fine for me. It's just that it's stuck on 1024x768 with no easy way to fix it, but many online guides to changing resolution exist.

just bought this today, been playing it for years and lost the disk, now it does not work, crashes at startup, what the hell u selling games that don't work, well done steam!

Running Windows 10, Civ 111 appears to run on a very low screen resolution, as everything seems to be magnified on my highest (standard) 1920 x1080. Any ideas please, I am 60yrs old and not particulary a techie?
