MarcusC, thanks! @ggodin, any chance of adding SBS barrel support?

I'm sorry to say but SteamVR Media Player (beta) does most of these things for free.

Great update, thanks! Looks like the maximum distance got reduced to 7m. It doesn't matter for current gen VR I think, as 7m should be indistinguishable from infinity, but for higher resolution displays it should be perceptible. So I think a much higher maximum distance should be available. I found out that a project to make nvidia 3d vision compatible with virtual desktop was in the pipeline. Is it still? That would be awesome

I have a Pimax 4k, I use as a monitor replacement for "non VR" games, movies and series. Windows 10, sometimes I close by clicking the X, sometimes I close the program in the "tray", lower right corner, where the clock is.

chiller-killer-uk: make sure you don't have Riva-Tuner, MSI After burner or any conflicting apps installed. Check the FAQ for details.

Thanks for the report Walter: anything more specific about when it stays open? You launch from the desktop and close it with the X in the upper right? You are with Vive on Win10?

Sometimes I close the program, but it stays open in the manager, and reduces the performance in STEAM vídeos. The difference in performance is very noticeable.

Not all 180 SBS 3D vids do things the same. Some use 2 domes SBS. and others use 2 barrels SBS. Virtual Desktop only has dome for 180. A player needs the ability to specify witch of these 2 the video is using.

Hi ggodin: The projection on fisheye videos is still a bit broken. Can you either fix it, or remove it as an option? The issue is major pinching at the top and bottom of screens on all stereo fisheye videos I have tried - I have tried a lot of them; others users have made similar comments in the past. If you change the view to ~135 degrees, the pinching disappears, but then the entire video shrinks and immersion is pretty much lost. I think this was first reported in February.
