Now that I have the capability I am underwhelmed by the game. With Mods, I get some outstanding graphics and tweeks. A good amount of the changes and enhancements I could get from Bethesda...but a lot I can't...and because I Mod, ALL my accomplishments cease to register. Which means I have more reason to blame Bethesda.
But in the end...even without mods...the story-line steers you to the same end. I won't spoil but I will say, I wish there were alternatives. I say this because it is Human Nature. We seek out and respond to those things that are different... we EVOLVE as a species by integration and interaction. Each of these factions ultimately seeks Autonomy and succombs in the same disasterous fate...
I guess it shouldn't be a surprise that 200 years after the Nukes fall, the comonwealth is still a shambles Humans inately seek to alter their surroundings. 200 years and there's still trash...still feral gouls..no effort to rebuild? It just isn't believable.. So, I have to believe I'm missing the point... much like Grand Theft Auto... the Game mechanic is good...the story is the reason I never got into it.
