corv, what about the part where the post says "VOD's now available on YT" and then the links to the YouTube VOD's that follow? So much misinformation in this thread.

Not really understanding why people like this guy... But I did enjoy the dev vids that you guys have done. Also if you missed the stream you can't watch the vods because Day9 puts his behind a paywall.

day9 <3 I am so pumped for this game now! From what I've seen it looks like you've pretty much fixed all the issues I had with PoE. My favourite thing was that I didn't see any names that were difficult to remember, if it were PoE the Scarlet Chorus would be called "Süäcïör Cåäå" and the disfavored would be "D^Åöåä'å".

I do not think you could have picked a better person to sponsor to play your games. Day9 is a great streamer who truly does have a genuine personality. While to some he may have come off as obnoxious to me he just seems like that good ball friend of yours you had in college. He has done many things for the gaming community that few could even be close boast about. Thank you very much Obsidian and Paradox gaming for showing us some great game play from my favorite Streamer!

Ugh, I bought the Game and now I have to Pay someone else to watch the Videos about it and its content??

Just not fair or good business practice

I have no problem with people not liking a entertainer or their content, I just want to correct misconceptions and explain things that are not readily apparent.

Disclaimer: I do not subscribe to Day[9]TV, nor have I ever subscribed to Day[9]TV.

As for the subscriber-only chat on Twitch, this is Day[9]'s method for cultivating a community that can interact with him and each other at a sane speed. Other streamers have different solutions for keeping chat coherent and constructive (managing a team of moderators or delegating moderator management to other individuals, implementing "slow chat mode" wherein each individual can only speak once every 30-60 seconds, relying on "bots" and their algorithms to filter noise in chat, etc.) but this way has worked well for Day[9] so far, even if it means that a few sit out in the cold on the other side of a paywall.

Yes, Day[9]'s Twitch VODs are only available to subscribers but his VODs are also uploaded to Youtube for free , usually within 24 hours. I do not know why there is a paywall for his Twitch VODs. Maybe there is a logical explanation from a marketing and content control point-of-view, and maybe there isn't.

What I'm trying to say is: I love Giant Bomb's Jeff Gerstmann and yet, I do not share his hatred for anime and Yoshi(s). Like with the friends you choose in life, you can enjoy streamed content despite the streamer's mannerisms and opinions he or she may have that are contrary to your own. Or maybe Day[9] is just not your cup of tea. Some people like to listen to streamers that are consistently reserved and monotone, and others like streamers that frequently swear and rage.

For those who are unfamiliar with Day[9], complaining about his conduct on stream, or expressing displeasure with his sub-only chat & sub-only VODs on Twitch:

Sean "Day[9]" Plott is a popular streamer because of his "gift of gab" and his tenacious, positive attitude. He has a reputation for passionate storytelling and quips, and I've found that some people are turned off by his flamboyance until they've listened to a few of his stories, which can be found on Youtube (" My Life of Starcraft - Day[9] Daily #100 " and " Day[9] Story Time - How I Almost Died " are popular ones). He was raised by a single mom, worked hard in school, participated in the formation of esports, and shares these experiences openly.
