Update 02.020 - Castle Siege

We are introducing the Castle Siege mode! This is the first work-in-progress version of a new mode that will grow and expand as the game does. The mode has been created to introduce a fast-paced proving ground for your castle designs. You can play as an attacker or defender and either defend your castle from opponents’ raids or lead the attack to capture the castle. The maximum number of players that can be in the game is 6 at the moment, but this will increase later in the future.

Castle Siege fixes
- added default blueprints
- added hints for players in the top of the screen
- disabled 'throw out everything from container' feature for battles
- when game is over, players can stay in the world and chat
- improved trebuchet blueprint
- fixed crash when joining game
- fixed crash in render

would be cool if you could have the "same" castle fights like in chivalry where a bunch just raid your place and you have to defend it (where there is objectives you can make that they have to deal with) so make the maps into either story or objective driven (while you still can destroy stuff only some is limited)

In the future, is there a possobility that we will have the ability to convert regular wordls into a castle seige map? That way we can remove the nessecity of base maps, yet they still be available.

The game use the engines from Space Engineers which is actually well advanced. So the answer is "irrelevant". But i understand what you mean. For another game, I would be suspicious like you.

I think this is where one of the "problems" of early access come out. There's no way something like this would be already developed this soon in another games development. Question is, is that a good thing, bad thing, or irrelevant? Pretty cool though.

While I do agree with those who complain about survival, and what's wrong with it, I'd rather they take a look that the main game ITSELF needs to be developed FIRST, and the rest of the minor problems the complainers bring up be taken care of AFTER the game's main base has been finished FIRST. Until then, the whiners need to be content with what the developers are giving them, and leave it at that.
