@SoUlJa6 : thanks a lot! For now there is no 2nd game planned, as i've another idea for a future game (very different game genre, but still with some water ^^ and much more unique... don't hesitate to register at my mailinglist (form here: http://gaddygames.com/site/) to get some email about it in a few years ^^)

Just wanted to inform you how much I've enjoyed this game. I honestly wish there was a 2nd one as I would buy it in a second. Also, Brutal mode was an excellent challenge. (and I hate that repairing heart thing, omg)

oh i like to live right under the resevoir, once it fills with water nothing can spawn in it (so long as you fill it with concrete backwalls) and if you put a layer of dirt on the bottom of it it makes a great coral farm

@Zarono: ok I understand, you're right. It can also be good to build the dam quite far away from the base, as the copper wire are really cheap

i should have elaborated a little better, the ravine is the safest place to make a house that uses hydroelectric power, because you can quarry and use the backwalls to make a resevoir, while you only have to worry about filling up the nearby caves to stop ground spawns completely and enemies can only come at you from one side: the ravine.

IMO the safest base is on a floating rock, just above the ground surface. You'll get lots of land enemies spawning with no way to reach you, and instead you face nowhere near as many flying enemies - the ones that can reach you.

Also, it's completely unnecessary to kill either variant of Fire Ant, so if you can pacifist your way in, great, makes defense even easier.

@Zarono : actually the ravine is not the best place :-)
And for the granite as launch location, yes it might be but any playing clever enough to manage to make it a launch location deserve to enjoy this safer place ^^
But more seriously, no the world map won't change - but in next (and final) major update 1.0 I'll add an alernative game mode, with the same items/blocks but a totally different world layout, and very random at each game ; so that should answer your request

any plans to change the safest house location being in the ravine and the safest launch location being all the way in the granite biome?

problem with doors is that the players will close them at night, and that would be the worst thing to do: you have to let easy entrances for monsters, so they come one by one and are easy to kill (as you know where they come). If no entrance, they will start destroying walls to make their path, and that's much more difficult to handle!

this game is small but has potential, it would be nice if you could make some kind of starter door. maybe a little better character design, most people would say this is like terraria, but really it's its own game. gl hf
