TDS Heavy - large powerful, ship with multiple weapon systems and the ability to create Jump Points. Both main weapons - Tempest Cannon and Fusion Beam - require warm-up before firing. The Tempest can be aimed quickly to react to close range targets (inside 15km) - the Fusion Beam fires forward only but can deliver a devastating attack to targets up 20km away. The Jump Point systems can create temporary Jump Locations lasting 30 seconds allow the Leviathan to bring in allies to anywhere on the map. However the creation of the jump point takes time (10s) and is hazardous (the Leviathan is very vulnerable during this period).


The Ranger is fast ship with a decent range on its main weapon (Longbow cannon 20km) - this has a hold and charge system allowing you to hold and release at different rates to sacrifice damage for rate of fire (inside a small window. The Ranger has the ability to heal itself using Shutdown and Repair at the cost of shutting down almost all its systems and rendering itself vulnerable, it must therefore find a place to hide before activating this ability.
The Ranger can place homing stealth mines that will home in on approaching ships (these are however still work in progress). These can be detected by the usual stealth detection mechanics in-game, and can also be destroyed from a distance and by point defense.

Secure Base Detect - while a team controls both of its Forward Stations their entire Home Sector will have a Stealth Detect (debuff is called 'Secure Base Detect'). If either of the Forward Stations are owned by the enemy then the Stealth Detect is disabled and will come online again once those stations are rescued. Intended to prevent Stealth ship backdoor tactics.

Extending player ranks from 10 to 50 - with shorter gaps between levelling up (around 20-25 hours per rank). NB: This will change your current rank.
Added AFK player detection. Servers can now be configured to detect and automatically warn then kick players that are AFK for too long. 90 Seconds warning issued, 120 seconds kicked. Any movement or chat will stop the countdown.

Added support for Nvidia’s Horizon Based Ambient Occlusion (HBAO)


DESIGN FIX -Addressing issue with Faster Cannon on Hunter that means it hits and does no damage at extreme range. Reduced maximum attenuation from 100 to bring in line with other cannons.

Hunter Faster Cannon - speed of projectile was 12000 for 0.6666s for 8k range is now 15000 for 0.6666s to give it 10k range and make it slightly easier to hit targets with.

Heavy Cannon - reducing max range from 16k to 15k.
Faster and Regular Cannons - increased turret traverse rate of Cannon increase from 40 to 60/80 (pitch/yaw) deg/sec Faster Cannon increase from 40 to 80/100 (pitch/yaw) deg/sec.


DESIGN FIX - Disruptor Heal Drones now fixed to scale healing according to number of drones available. This is to fix known issue where destroying drones with Point Defence or Fighters does not decrease heal rate.
Disruptor's blink to ally - warm up time increased from 0.5 to 1.


Infiltrator's Ion Drones warhead interval is now affected by how many of the drones are alive, meaning that you cannot apply the full 5 stacks to someone if some of your drones have died.

The slow effect of Ion Drones has been reduced from -0.1 per stack to -0.05, meaning a 25% decrease in movement speed with all 5 stacks instead of 50%.


DESIGN BUG FIX - Fixed Reaper Scythe Beam using the cursor (rather than the turret lead) to aim, meaning that holding alt and then looking behind your ship would cause it to be unable to fire. Also disabled the laser dot for the scythe beam (as it's not needed).

DESIGN FIX - Fixed the Reaper's shield colliding with ships.


Refinement on Thumper Balance - ppd upgraded from 44 to 52 to bring it closer to its previous OP value (56).


We've made changes to the way flak works to address armour damage and improve the visuals. It now fires multiple projectiles, with overlapping AOE damage from each. Armour damage will only trigger on actual impact, however there is now a lot of spread to the projectiles making it harder to achieve this from a distance. The new flak now fires 10 projectiles/sec at 16 AOE damage per projectile (30 damage to small ships, 100 damage to armour if you can hit it).

Photonic charges currently still use the old system (these may be switched over in an update), however they now deal damage to armour on a direct hit as well.


Altering Skua values as follows: Changed from 30000 (1000 for 30s) to 22500 (1500 for 15s). Changed cooldown from 90s to 60s. Turn rate reduced from 60 to 40 radians/sec.
Replaced mines with new homing proximity mines (non-stealth versions of the new Ranger’s mines). These will likely require further balance pass!


Changing warm-up time on Blink2Trgrt from 0.5s to 1.0s Changed Escalate -refire changed from 0.05 to 0.08; duration of damage increase effect changed from 0.5 to 0.85; projectile speed changed from 12000 to 10000, lifetime changed from 1 to 1.2
Cap mod drone - increased cooldown from 90s to 120s
Reduce turret traverse speeds on Escalate to further balance use of weapon. Traverse speeds now brought in line with Hunter regular Cannons (yaw 60 deg/sec; pitch 80 deg/sec).


Increasing turn rate on the Equalizer main weapon’s projectiles from 7.5 deg/sec to 15 deg/sec. Also adding non-homing alternate weapon Health Drain.
Boost Gate changed to make more useable - specifically for other members of the team. As a result - AOE boost sized changed from 1000 to 2000 radius and to more closely match visual and make it easier for teammates to use. Duration of AOE effect extended from 10s to 12s. Duration of flight model boost extended from 3s (Fireline entry was 2s) to 4s. Timing of visual effect changed to match duration of AOE was 7s - is now 12s.


Sniper - Altering range on Railgun - extending optimum range from 30k to 35k. Decreasing damage reduction at max (40k) range from 95% to 90%.


Extending range of Corvette's Shield AOE from 3500m to 5500m


Changed the way bombers in the game work and improved their AI: - Projectiles shot by bombers can no longer be taken down by point defence, however the bombers themselves are required to enter PD range in order fire on their target. - The damage inflicted by bombers' projectiles has been reduced from 250 to 100. - Bombers now perform multiple bombing runs before needing to rearm at their parent ship - Bombers should now be more adept at navigating around geometry before attempting to shoot at enemy player ships.
