Just had a game ending glitch. Walked too close to a wall and instead of going down the stairs I ended up on a ledge that is impossible to get off. Reloading puts me right back there. I guess in the cannon of my game the protagonist shimmies up onto a narrow ledge and their intense fear of heights greater than two feet paralyzes them with fear. Unable to move from their predicament, they eventually die from dehydraton.

I have played the whole game and found only one glitch. It is the teleporter that you will have placed in house in center of Hunrath. later in game you are suppose to use it to get to ruins to water tree but it wont be there in the house. There is another way, another teleporter with access at Farley's house. My machine meets min requirements,

Sometimes, especially moving in root area of tree, you get stuck and cant move. If you look at the right top corner you will see a little violet or purple ring that is like a busy sign. Wait till it stops and dissapears and you can move again. The game will get really jittery if you run a lot. Also if you need to stop the game for some reason and cant use esc to tell it to quit, use ctrl/alt/delete. it will pull up a screen like the winows welcome screen where you can tell it to start task manager. ( I use Win 7/64) Remember there is a min requirements and recommended requirements. The more your machine is toward min, the less smooth it will play. Remember too if your programs check for updates and so forth you can experience some unsmoothness if you are playing the game.

1.6 !?

Also, I don't know if this was clear from my last comment, but when I said "every other node" I mean that moving to a new node brings the cursor back, then going to another new node makes it disappear again.
Booksds Jun 24 @ 5:43pm
When playing in point-and-click mode, every other node I travel to causes the cursor to become invisible. It doesn't switch to mouse-look mode; switching to mouse-look mode then back to cursor mode brings back the cursor, and it's still able to interact with things while invisible. Also, this is only a problem when using the "Instant" or "Fade" transition types, but not the "Smooth" transition.

It's hardly game-breaking and easily avoided, but I was planning to replay this game in a sort of "Myst-purist" mode, meaning I want to play with the cursor unlocked and with instant transition point-and-click gameplay. I'd rather not have to have to right-click every time I move to a new node.

Where is patch 1.6.0 ?

I found out that if you disable crossfire/sli before starting the game it doesn't crash (as much) and the flickering and performance issue go away completely. I am playing at 4k resolution on a 4k monitor with all EPIC graphic settings and it's very smooth. However, I do get random crashes for no reason and the sucky part is that you can't even toggle back to your desktop to end the task you are forced to reboot. Recently, I figured out a workaround/hack for that where I open up task manager on my second monitor BEFORE I start the game so that when it crashes, I can alt-tab and move my mouse to the second monitor (because you sill cannot see the desktop on your primary monitor) and end the task from there and then restart the game.
